ZIP is an electronically controlled hydraulic inter-plant automatic weeder, developed and patented to automatically perform inter-plant mechanical weeding in row crops.
It is designed to eliminate weeds and loosen the soil, both along the rows but especially between one plant and another, improving the organoleptic quality of the crop, reducing the use of herbicides and the contribution of manpower.
Over the years Drimac has expanded the range of ZIP models, finding the most functional applications according to the type of plant and crop.
Thanks to ZIP, it will be possible to increase the number of weeding operations in the growing phase of the crop, minimizing processing times and associated costs. With ZIP.03, the processing of 1Ha of land takes only 3.5 hours, with a single operator dedicated to the management. The increase in mechanical weeding operations also reduces the expense and use of chemical herbicides, increasing the quality of the final product.
ZIP also lends itself to different types of crops, and is therefore a unique solution to face the same process in different products and in different seasons.
One of the advantages of ZIP is that it can be used on different plants and on different plant layouts, without changing the settings. The weeder is mainly used on vegetables, but our customers also use it on arable land and medicinal plants.
ZIP can be used in various types of vegetables in rows and at regular intervals such as: radicchio, lettuce, cabbage, tomato, fennel, leek, onion, beet, broccoli, endive, catalonia, celery, beetroot, turnip, etc …, cultivated in the open field on medium-large extensions or in closed environments, such as greenhouses.

The weeder allows you to intervene several times during the period dedicated to processing, until reaching a maximum height, with a still visible gap between the plants. The system allows you to act in depth, adjusting the intervention during the set-up phase.
